It’s unclear on how domesticated dogs arrived from the grey wolf. And studies show that this may have only happened 33,000 years ago. They believe since wolves are scavengers that they had interactions with cave men at camp sites/caves and then these wolves passed this genetic trait of getting along with humans to their offspring which made each generation a little more open to humans. Different breeds now a days take on different traits that they inherited from the grey wolf..such as hunting dogs and herding breeds. It’s amazing to think that this is all still new to us. Crazy to think that but it’s true.
